The Barnes Triple-Shock X-Bullet is a dependable, cost effective projectile that can be relied upon to deliver premium accuracy from a .277 cal. chambered rifle. Its strategically placed hollow point initiates the triple-shock energy curve that opens and maintains its four razor sharp petals deep into the animals stomach. The petals “fold” inward for further penetration and a deeper C.P.D. (Charging Point) that can be felt even when the bullet is seated at just 0.03 to 0.07 inches from the chamber. The energy from the impact is transferred to the back half of the bullet where it stays locked in place allowing it to penetrate to target areas without a “tunnel” effect that can take a bullet out of the animal’s mouth. After the initial impact the petals continue expanding outward delivering maximum energy to the vital organs.
